Sam Kinsman

Bio & Expertise:‍ ‍Raised by a family of teachers, Sam attended an International Baccalaureate high school in Costa Rica. He then attended Brown University, where he explored his interest in sociology and political science before ultimately deciding to major in economics. As a student at Brown, Sam tutored local high schoolers for the SAT, and quickly discovered how much he enjoys teaching.

After graduating, Sam chose to turn his passion for teaching into a career. Over the past 11 years, he has worked with hundreds of students from five different continents. He has also written test prep curricula, taught workshops, trained teachers, and led a team of 10 math tutors. Sam’s specialty is getting students to top SAT and ACT scores and guiding them through their college application essays.

Sam strives to help his students reach their full potential. He encourages them to approach standardized tests with a growth mindset, and to see mistakes and challenges as a crucial part of the learning process. Students often finish with not only a higher score, but also heightened confidence in their own ability to succeed.
